A Series Of Earthquake Shakes Two Regions Of China

A series of earthquakes rattled China. The Chinese are worried that the earthquake is going to repeat after a short break.

 The quake has killed at least three people and severely injured 27 others in China. Local media reported Thousands of homes were damaged by the quake.

The earthquake affected about 12 counties in China since Friday evening. However, Yangbi Yi Autonomous County in China’s Yunnan Province and Youngping county were severely damaged by the quake.

Youngbi Yi County was hit hard by four earthquakes in a row with a magnitude of more than 7.3 on the Richter scale. Two were killed and at least one was injured in what became known as Youngping County.

About 72,317 people were affected by quakes in 20,192 households.

The large earthquake rocked the province of Golog County in Tibet around 2:04 am.

Residents in the provincial capital Xining, 385 kilometers from the county seat of Maduo, have been significantly impacted by the rattling.

The earthquake was monitored at 34.59°C north latitude and 98.34°C east longitude. The tremor hit 17 kilometers deep.

Motorways and bridges have seen collapses in the area of the quake hit, making vehicles unruly. Well-equipped rescue personnel was sent to the area of the earthquake.

CENC records have shown that in the past five years there have been around 25 magnitudes of 3 earthquakes within 200 kilometers of the epicenter which was the greatest on Saturday.
